**IMPORTANT: The following steps can only be performed by someone with the appropriate system administration permissions.

  1. Click System Administration>Calendar>Calendar

  2. Click the "Terms" tab to adjust the dates for the School's Marking Periods (Terms)

    **Note:
if this is a new school year you are modifying, the dates that appear here were tentatively set for you by Edutech when the new school year was created, and may not match the dates of your school's real marking periods (terms).

  3. Click the "Days" tab to modify the School calendar so that it includes the following:

**Note: if this is a new school year you are modifying, the school calendar was setup for you by Edutech when the new school year was created, and therefore it is empty.

    • Days School is Not in Session: Superintendent days (in service days), school holidays, etc..

    • The Proper Cycle Days: Click the "Day Rotation" button to set the date on which the first day of school begins, and the cycle day (e.g. letter day like an A day) it should start with, and then cycle through as each school day passes

**Hint: if you enter the days school is not in session FIRST - when you perform this step, those days are automatically skipped in the assigning of cycle days to your school year.

  4. Repeat the steps in this article for each of the actual school buildings at your school

    These buildings include:

      • Your High School(s)
      • Your Middle School(s)
      • Your Elementary School(s)

**IMPORTANT: buildings that should be ignored as part of this process because they do not have a true "calendar" include:
        • Out of District Placed
        • Census Only
        • Private School
        • Pre-Enrolled
