4. Course Costs
Cost per semester: $770 per student/semester.
Examples:
Health is a one-semester course, and costs $770.
Spanish 1 is a two-semester course, and costs $1,540.
Early withdrawal fees: Enrollments dropped in the first 7 days are not charged. Enrollments dropped from 8 to 28 days are charged $50. Enrollments that go beyond 28 days are charged at $770.
AccelerateU has no membership fee. Districts simply pay for courses as needed.
AccelerateU is an aidable service. State aid is received in the year following purchase. Thus, the actual cost for a course for a district with a 60% aid ratio is about $300.
BOCES fees (5%) apply for districts outside the Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES area.
